The grounds of Greystone are beautiful in the early Spring through late Fall months (most people like leaves on the trees), so if you're planning a small, intimate wedding (max. 50 wedding guests), Greystone can easily be your one-stop location for your accommodations and the special event. 

Here are some beautiful Outdoor Wedding Ideas (Link to Google Images), and with the backdrop of our pond and spectacular evening lighting, our grass area can easily accommodate parties up to 50 or more, with off-street parking for around 20 cars, too!

Most venues have hour limits...most require you to be in and out in normally 4 hours.  At Greystone, you can take your time within your preferred rental period...and save a lot of money!

Weddings & Special Use - To use Greystone for weddings, receptions, or special events, a fee must be paid in addition to our minimum 2-night reservation.  Our normal minimum 2-night reservations accommodate up to 12 at the scheduled rate (see Rates page after reviewing this), with a $30 per night surcharge for each person in the overnight group over 12 (we do not count childred less than 24 months as part of the 12). 

If you plan on using Greystone as the site of your wedding, reception, party, or similar function, there is an Event Fee IF your special event will have more than the base number of people staying at Greystone under the terms of your overnight reservation. 

The fee is based on the total participating guests, including those staying at Greystone.  

"Event Fee" for Weddings, Receptions, & Special Use Fees
If you reserved Greystone for an overnight group of 15 in your reservation (rental base + 3 surcharge guests), and only those 15 are involved with the wedding, reception, special event, etc...then there is no added fee. 

If, however, your event has people coming to Greystone for the event that are NOT registered and paid rental guests, then there is an event fee as follows: 

Events with up to 30 people (including house guests) = $250 add-on

Events with up to 50 people (including house guests) = $400 add-on

For events over 50 total, please rent a larger venue for your actual event. 

Tables, Chairs, and other party items 
Tables and chairs for outdoor set-up can be reserved and brought to Greystone.  We recommend Ballou's party Rentals (I believe they have a $50 minimum order).  You would be responsible for set-up and taking things down unless otherwise worked out with Ballou's or any other caterer/rental supplier.  

Set up & Decorations
You may set up in the yard, decks and patios, or move furniture JUST in the great room as needed as long as you return all furnishings back to original places.  The great room makes a great dance floor!  You are responsible for damages and breakage incurred during your stay or done by any guest during any sepecial event, including food stains on carpets.  Please be careful!

Please note: In decorating, NO use of staples or non-easy removal tapes inside, please.  All tape and all staples, if used outdoors, must be removed! 

So...compare the cost of individal rooms in a hotel...renting an outside venue (with it's time constraints)...and you may very well decide that Greystone and it's beautiful setting may just be the right choice for your special day!
